The Kramer Summer Leadership Conference
The Kramer Summer Leadership Conference is the annual gathering of cadets from across the state and supplements the Academy’s year-round programming. Selected Leadership cadets participate in a week of developmental activities emphasizing personal and professional development, academic preparation, fellowship, and fun. This residential conference allows cadets to live on Maryville College’s campus, where they have the opportunity to experience college life during the week.
During camp, cadets attend self-esteem, development, and goal setting classes, all while emphasizing their academic, personal, social, interpersonal, and spiritual development. Guest speakers from around the community introduce cadets to important leadership traits and skills. The cadets are also taught and encouraged to participate in community service activities.
The camp is hosted by Maryville College and sponsored by Arconic, DENSO, and the Alcoa City Center.
