The Richard Williams Jr. Leadership Development Academy addresses the needs of typically disadvantaged middle and high school students. The Academy encourages students to reach their full potential and develop leadership skills with the goal of seeing each cadet enter and graduate college.

The Academy was created to identify and mentor young people who would benefit from a program that emphasizes academic excellence, integrity, appropriate dress, respect, manners, personal responsibility, and biblical and religious values. The Christian-based approach encourages personal, family, educational, and career improvement.
